Use collects.io in Claude, Make and Zapier
collects.io now has an MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets AI assistants and automation tools talk to other software. Connect it once and you can ask about your overdue invoices in Claude, or trigger your own workflows in Make and Zapier, using your live collects.io data.
What you can do
- Ask which invoices are overdue, by customer, by age or by value.
- Ask why an invoice is unpaid: dispute, missing purchase order, wrong contact, or simply late.
- See your analytics, such as days to pay and who pays late, without opening a dashboard.
- On Collect, see what has been sent to each customer and what happens next.
- Send collects.io data into Slack, Teams, email, your CRM or a spreadsheet with Make or Zapier.

Sign-in: OAuth: you sign in with your collects.io account. No API key to copy.
Claude
Works on Claude Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise, on the web, desktop and mobile apps. Free plans can add one custom connector.
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
Name it collects.io and paste the server URL: https://mcp.collects.io/mcp. Click Continue.
Choose Sign in now and sign in with your collects.io account. Click Add.
In a new chat, click +, then Connectors, and switch collects.io on.
Ask: "Which of my invoices are overdue, and why?"
Claude Team or Enterprise: an Owner adds collects.io once in Organization settings, then Connectors, then Add, then Custom, then Web. Each person then clicks Connect under Customize, then Connectors.
Make
In Make, create a scenario and add the MCP Client module.
Create a connection: paste the server URL https://mcp.collects.io/mcp and sign in with your collects.io account.
Pick a collects.io tool from the list, for example list_overdue_invoices, and map its inputs.
Add the next step, such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, Gmail or Google Sheets, and turn the scenario on.
Or start from a collects.io template (below): open it, connect your accounts and switch it on.
Zapier
In Zapier, go to Apps, click Add connection and search for MCP Client by Zapier.
Paste the server URL https://mcp.collects.io/mcp, choose Streamable HTTP, and choose OAuth to sign in with your collects.io account.
In a Zap, add the action MCP Client by Zapier, then Run tool, and pick a collects.io tool.
Add a trigger (for example Schedule by Zapier, every Monday at 08:00) and the next step (Slack, email, HubSpot), then publish.

Safe by design
- Read-only on Xero. The MCP server only shows what you can already see in collects.io.
- You sign in with your own collects.io account, and you can disconnect at any time in Claude, Make or Zapier.
- Nothing is sent to your customers from Claude, Make or Zapier. On Collect, you control every message at platform, debtor and invoice level.

Do I need a paid plan?
You need a collects.io account. Visibility is free for two weeks. Make and Zapier have their own plans.
Which Claude plans work?
Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. Free plans can add one custom connector.
Can Claude send chasers to my customers?
No. collects.io sends messages only on Collect, under the controls you set.
Is my Xero data shared with Claude, Make or Zapier?
Only the answers you ask for in that conversation or workflow, and only after you sign in.
